Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) – our commitment to your security

The reality is that a password just isn’t enough anymore. Luckily, there are options available to help ensure the highest standards of security - and that’s exactly what we’re doing to help all of our users ensure their highly sensitive and confidential information remains safe and secure.

Having multiple layers of data security on the access to a service is widely accepted as being best practice. At Digital Pigeon, your security and privacy are of the utmost importance to us and we take the protection of your sensitive data very seriously.

Two-Factor Authentication

We’ve recently rolled out Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all Digital Pigeon users. 2FA increases the security of your Digital Pigeon account and allows us to verify that the person trying to gain access to the account is who they say they are.

Even if your password falls into the hands of someone other than yourself, the chances of them also having your second-factor information are extremely unlikely. This new layer of security helps to enable our users to strengthen their password management best practices and keep up with today’s cybersecurity threats.

How it works

This extra level of protection is just a simple and speedy additional step when logging in to your account. All you need is a free, compatible app on your smartphone, for example:

• Google Authenticator
• Duo
• Authy

The access codes are generated directly on your device, which means it’s harder for hackers to intercept them or launch phishing attacks.
